Walnutflow

Walnutflow is an educational app that turns long texts into adaptive, personalised micro-lessons, built for the education-technology space with Figma, Firebase and FlutterFlow. Two.Zero developed and optimised the app, integrating text-to-speech (TTS) features, a token system to gamify progress and tracking for each user’s advancement.

The result is a dynamic, accessible learning experience available on the app stores. Two.Zero handled the mobile app’s development and optimisation, the TTS implementation, the token-based gamification system, the backend architecture and progress tracking, through to publishing on the App Store and Google Play. The work was run as an iterative build, with rounds of refinement to the learning experience ahead of each release. Each micro-lesson’s content adapts progressively to each student’s own pace and level.

The first micro-lessons were tested with a pilot group of students to fine-tune the average length of each block and the tone of the TTS voice, before extending the token system to the rest of the content available in the app.
